"'Reason' is just one letter away from 'Treason.'"

Shortly after costume-hating Tea Partier Glen Beck defaced the view of the Lincoln Memorial with his “Restoring Honor” banner on the National Mall, an internet movement to draft Stephen Colbert to “Restore Truthiness” in the Nation’s Capital began. Within a fortnight Colbert and Jon Stewart announced competing events in the shadow of the Washington Monument. Colbert’s “March to Keep Fear Alive” will face off against Stewart’s “Rally to Restore Sanity” on October 30. Arianna Huffington has announced that HuffPost will provide buses from New York for people who want to attend. No such luck for Chicagoans; and rumors that The Week Behind’s Stump Connolly and his mystery Wet City ward will be covering the events from inside the Beltway could not be confirmed as of this posting. So fellow anglers, in the words of keepfearalive.com “Pack an overnight bag with five extra sets of underwear — you’re going to need them.”
